Walker Art Gallery Portrait Prize

The prestigious contemporary portrait collection has officially opened to the public today at the Walker Art Gallery. This year's highly competitive exhibition displays a diverse range of photography, oil paintings, and digital multimedia submissions from artists across the UK. The top prize has been awarded to a stunning, large-scale portrait capturing a retired Cammell Laird shipyard welder from Birkenhead.
