Bootle Fire Asbestos Warning

Environmental health teams have issued an urgent warning to homeowners living near Fernhill Road following the massive warehouse fire earlier this week. Specialist testing confirmed that harmful, fragmented asbestos debris from the warehouse roof drifted and landed on surrounding residential properties and gardens during the blaze. Residents have been told not to touch or move any grey corrugated debris themselves and to report it to council clean-up teams immediately.
